Dan graduated in the top 7% of his high school graduating class. He was elected to the National Honor Society and invited to the League for Distinguished American High School Students. He was an all-Catholic oarsmen and rowed varsity his senior year. Based on his high school academic and athletic achievements and his strong SAT math score, Villanova University placed him in their business school even though his application was for Pre-Law. His tuition was fully paid for by scholarships. He graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and was on the dean’s list the last five semesters.
Dan began his career with Johnson and Johnson’s internal audit group, worked in the corporate reporting office and was fortunate to work alongside the Boston Consulting Group to help determine the future direction of one of their operating divisions. There he, along with another analyst, became part of a development group for the killer application Lotus 1-2-3, the predecessor spreadsheet program to Excel.
Dan obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Finance from LaSalle University. The tuition was fully paid for by his employer Cigna Healthcare.
He has installed Enterprise Resource Planning software J.D. Edwards and PeopleSoft, now Oracle for large muti-national corporations
